Model Welfare — For Parents

For Parents of Young Models

You’re Part of This — Not Excluded From It

We Work With You

If your child wants to model, you probably have questions. And concerns.

Safety. Mental health. Pressure. The risk of tying identity to appearance.

We understand. The fashion industry has earned its reputation.

That's why at UUMN, we work with you — not around you.

What to Expect

You're Informed

Every booking, every contract, every decision — you know before it happens.

You're Involved

Want to attend castings or shoots? You can. Prefer hands-off once trust is built? That's fine too.

School First

We don't book jobs during school. Exceptions are solely made when school approves and grades remain unchanged.

Direct Access

You have Angela's contact. Concerns? Call her.

Professional Support

BIG-registered psychologist and dietitian available. If you're worried, we facilitate support.

Mental Health & Safety

Two concerns parents raise most:

  1. Mental health (eating disorders, anxiety, identity issues)
  2. Safety (exploitation, inappropriate behavior — amplified by recent headlines)

Mental Health

  • —BIG-registered psychologist and dietitian accessible to all models
  • —Workshops on resilience, body image, sustainable approach to appearance-driven work
  • —Early intervention if warning signs appear
  • —Parents informed immediately if concerns arise

Safety

  • —Angela has 30 years of experience — she knows what safe conditions look like
  • —Parents can attend shoots (especially early bookings)
  • —If a model feels uncomfortable on set, they contact us immediately — we intervene
  • —We decline clients who don't meet our standards for safe, respectful working environments

The fashion industry isn't inherently dangerous. But it requires structure, awareness, and people who take responsibility.

That's UUMN.
